Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born.

One for Sorrow, Two for Joy…

Meet Jo

Once upon a time I dreamt I was a fashion designer, a mother, a pilot, a hot housewife, an all female garage owner. I was never those things. I have been many things, but never a thing that completes me. I have been on a constant journey in my life: exploring, researching, discovering, musing, critiquing. Always in one direction or the other. This little dream of mine is a direct reflection of who I am as an individual. It is my passion for storytelling, it is my need for connection, and it is my want to help those who are lost that brought me here.

I created this space for other like minded people who want a corner to create and explore while actively participating, romanticizing, and interacting. My plan is to grow the Hollow vast and wide and full of trinkets. This life is too short to live without imagination, without hope, without love. My love for RVA and my neighbors is a historic relationship and one I like to help others develop and endure.

Jo Ann Breaux is the owner of The Wilde Hollow. She is a transplant of Richmond, VA by way of Panama and Louisiana. She is simply…a creative and connector, in addition to being a licensed Realtor. She holds a degree in computer science and attended VCU. Her superpowers are herding cats, telling stories, and throwing unlikely people together. She owned and operated, Anti-Mag, an online lifestyle magazine for 8 years while living in New York and also hosted her own radio show-The AM Radio Show. She has curated and hosted many events that include burlesque shows, art openings, fundraisers, and musical performances. She is a self-proclaimed Dame of All Trades and simply loves helping and guiding others to their happy places.

Meet Kai

Once upon a time I dreamt of spaces filled with conversation, art, music, books, stories, and the kind of atmosphere that makes people linger a little longer than they planned to. I have always searched for places that feel alive in a way that is difficult to explain, spaces that feel warm, thoughtful, inspiring, and deeply human. Over the years I realized what I loved most was never just the place itself, but the feeling it left behind. The sense of being welcomed, understood, inspired, and connected to something larger than yourself.

The Wilde Hollow feels like a reflection of so many things I have carried with me for a long time. A love for gathering people together. A fascination with atmosphere and culture. A desire to create something softer and more intentional in a world that often feels disconnected. Being part of this project feels less like beginning something new and more like stepping into something I have been unknowingly building toward my entire life.

Kailynn Vale Parker found her way to Virginia from Austin, Texas. With a background rooted in hospitality, beauty, curated experiences, and thoughtfully designed spaces, she has always been passionate about creating environments that encourage connection, curiosity, and community. Inspired by the strange and unusual, she is drawn to places rich with atmosphere and character, the kinds of spaces filled with stories, art, music, books, history, and shared discovery. Her love for interior design and fashion comes from the belief that beauty and environment have the power to shape how people feel, connect, and experience the world around them. Through The Wilde Hollow, she hopes to help cultivate a space where people can gather, learn, explore, and leave feeling inspired.
